About Us
We are a Religious Association firmly committed to serving, empowering, and supporting the Muslim community in Mexico and Latin America. Our mission includes promoting and disseminating Islamic religion and culture in all its forms, aiming to create spaces of tolerance, mutual respect, value reinforcement, and the comprehensive development of individuals.
We provide religious, educational, and cultural programs and services, striving to improve individuals and, in turn, society as a whole. We advocate for tolerance, interfaith dialogue, and community service, actively working to safeguard the rights of Muslims in Mexico and Latin America. As an internationally recognized organization, we are guided by Islamic values and a strong commitment to serving society.
Our History
The Mexican Islamic Council is a non-profit organization established in Mexico in 2019 by its founder, Dr. Mohamed Mansour. Driven by his conviction and vision, he believes it is possible to be both Muslim and Latino, as Islam is a universal religion meant for all people.
Over the past few years, the Mexican Islamic Council has expanded to include branches in various cities across Mexico and has established a presence in fifteen Latin American countries. It also actively collaborates with public and private institutions both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Mansour’s vision of sharing a message of peace and interfaith tolerance has led him to travel across Latin America with the firm purpose of fostering and consolidating new Islamic communities. During his travels, he gained a multicultural perspective in non-Muslim countries, broadening his understanding of the needs within communities of Muslim converts. This enabled him to develop various educational programs and foster better interfaith coexistence.
His efforts have earned him recognition from significant organizations and forums in governmental and private sectors, both nationally and internationally, and he has been named an Ambassador of Peace.
